I think what you're asking though is does it feel like it only has 4 inches of travel and my answer is no, it has a pretty low leverage ratio (2:1) so it feels alot like a 6 inch bike on the trail, but not so cumbersome and squishy. On gnarly DH tracks it certainly isn't all-conquering like a full on DH sled, you've got to pick the right line but its really snappy and maneuverable so its a nice trade off.
